Nominees are no longer being accepted for the 2012 Columbus Music Awards.

The Columbus, Ohio music scene has yet to of received it's due recognition and appreciation of it's variety, innovation, integrity and it's passion of music and entertainment. This will be a night in which we, the people of central Ohio, may give back to it's musicians and local charities for their lasting contribution to the community. 

We have decided to create a night of celebration for our musicians and musical artists during which they will receive awards after being nominated by their peers, fans, family and friends. That's why we're leaving it all in your hands! We have requested nominations from you for your favorite musical artist or performer. From these nominations a winner for each musical genre or category will be chosen by your votes!

The 2012 Columbus Music Awards is in support of The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio -
http://rmhc-centralohio.org/who_we_are.php - and a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit their charity.

To be eligible for a nomination and voting, you must be Columbus based. This doesn't mean that you can't be from outside the city, however you must be musically active in Columbus and its surrounding areas for the majority of your performances and appearances. If you've been signed to a major label, firstly: Congratulations! You are still eligible for nomination.

The winners of the awards are those that have received the highest votes overall and there may be a panel installed in the future to make the ultimate decision.

We did not gain enough nominees for the International Category this year. They shall receive honorable mentions but will not be eligible for voting.
